Healing Grief

One to one healing sessions for women who have had miscarriages or whose babies have died

‘I have experienced the loss of many loved ones in my life but miscarriage has been the hardest.  That’s because I’ve had to do it on my own.  Miscarriage is such a lonely place to be.  Nobody talks about it’.   West Cork Mother

Are you grieving and would you like some help?  Your loss may be very recent or a long time ago.  It’s never too late to give yourself time to grieve.

This is a subject very close to my heart as my first baby, Alan was born prematurely at 27 weeks and died very soon afterwards.  This experience led me to create my first book and CD- ‘Letting Go’ a mother’s healing journey through diaries, poetry & song’

Over the years, sound healing has helped me in my grieving process and I now offer this opportunity to other mums.

 What’s involved?

I feel a calling to work with women who have miscarried or whose babies died shortly after birth.  As a society we tend not to openly acknowledge these bereavements so a mother often has no opportunity to grieve.  I provide a safe caring space where women can be nurtured by the healing power of sound so that they may begin their healing journey emotionally and spiritually.

In this space you have time out where you can reflect on and process your grief.  Using sound and angel cards as tools I can help you connect deeply to yourself.  The angel cards provide gentle empowering guidance. The sound healing is very relaxing and you can experience healing without ‘doing’ any hard work.  While you are welcome to share your birth story if you would like to, there’s no need if you prefer not to talk about it. These sessions go beyond words and the sound fills in the spaces allowing healing to occur.

Group Sessions

From time to time, I run sound baths  for mothers who have experienced child loss.  Click here for upcoming events

One to one sessions

We start with 4 sessions over 4 weeks, each lasting between 1 ½ to 2 hours either at my ‘Shearwater Cottage’ treatment room in west Cork (15 minutes from Clonakilty) or online using Zoom. Zoom is a simple online meeting room, similar to skype that you can download for free onto your phone or computer. When you schedule a session I will send you a link.

The sessions will involve sound healing  and angel card readings.   In the first 2 sessions I will be realigning your Assemblage Point.  I also use Reiki energy during my sessions to enhance relaxation and healing.

When you sign up for the sessions, you will receive a copy of my book and CD ‘Letting Go a mother’s healing journey through diaries, poems & songs’ in your preference of physical or digital format (hyperlink).

The cost for the 4 sessions is €444 ($525).  Payment is with Paypal and is payable in advance.  Payment plans are possible so let me know if you would like to avail of this.

After the 4 weeks we will review how you are getting on and you will have the option of further sessions if you feel it would be beneficial to you. Some women have found 6 sessions helpful but everyone has their own timing for healing.

‘Twenty six years ago my baby daughter Michelle died at 36 weeks gestation. She was my firstborn… stillborn. Before working with Claire, I was unsure of where I was in my grief for my child. I wanted to explore it within a safe environment and with someone with whom I felt I could demonstrate a vulnerability. After our time together, I feel that I have a clearer understanding of where I am on my grief journey, not only in relation to my grief for Michelle but also for my grief for others whom I loved very much and who have died.  What has changed in my life now after my sessions with Claire is that I appreciate the need for me to give myself more personal space and not to expect too much of myself. Furthermore, after these sessions I know that it is important to let my grief come and go and to allow myself to cry when I need to.  What I liked about Claire’s approach was that she portrayed a gentle and calm nature and she had the important attribute of being a good listener. She demonstrated a genuine engagement with me and my grief in all of my sessions with her.  I wholeheartedly without reservation recommend Claire as a therapist to empower a mother in her grief for her child no matter how long the life of that precious child was. She brings a unique positivity to the grief process with her own life experience of her son Alan.’

‘Thank you so much for your time and the healing i received over the last 6 weeks. I feel in a much better place than I did at the beginning. I know now that my healing will take time. And that Zoey’s life was a beautiful miracle. Two months ago my baby Zoey died after 4 days on earth. Before working with Claire I still wasn’t really able to process what had happened. It still felt so raw. After our time together I felt calmer and more able to reflect on everything that had happened. I now feel that I have some tools to help me along my grief journey. I learned about the importance of giving myself space and time to heal and felt a big release in my second to last session. What I liked about Claire’s approach was how gentle she is. I recommend Claire because she is gentle yet powerful and helped me to feel on a more even keel after Zoey’s death.’
