This month’s card is ‘Cultivating Courage – In any given moment I always know exactly what to do’

On my way down to the cabin to pick this card, I passed the potted bushes I bought yesterday to plug the gap in the hedge in our garden. One of them was taller, almost my height and cost a bit more. I briefly wondered whether it was worth the extra money.

The image on this card looks like a plant that is growing. In between the leaves the dots are like the life-giving rain it needs to sustain and grow it.

Cultivating courage is not a quick fix, it requires practise and dedication. The beautiful soft blue colour is there to gently encourage our throat chakras to open and to speak our truth.

The leaf in the top left hand side has definition but it is faded. It’s like that thought or idea when we can reach for when we come into the present moment. Then we do indeed know exactly what we need to do.

First we need to ground ourselves so we can create space and get that clarity.

We can reach for that leaf and add it to the growing bush and make it a reality. As we cultivate courage we begin to grow and increase in confidence. We can also be an inspiration for others to find their voice.

Matt Kahn says this mantra is ideal for breaking old habits, deepening your focus and following your heart. We don’t need to do this alone. Reach out for help if you need it.

With all this in mind, I think the extra investment in the tall bush was worth it and I look forward to seeing it thrive in my garden!
