Ukulele Prayer Song: A Sound Meditation from Slovakia
Opening:
This month’s sound meditation is another offering from the former Franciscan monastery in Rožňava, Slovakia, now known as KC Kláštor.
I recorded this piece during a visit to celebrate my son’s birthday. While I was waiting for my husband to pick up our son’s birthday present in the music shop, a little red Russian doll ukulele ended up in the basket too!
The friary dates back to the 18th century and has since been beautifully restored into a community-based Cultural Centre. This is an offering from the yoga room with it’s church-like sound.
The Intention:
This sounding is an honouring of our loved ones who have passed and now guide us on the other side and for all the beings of light that support us.
I was thinking of my uncle Mal who was a franciscan friar and loved ones who have passed and how they live on and guide us. Also in this holy place I was feeling grateful for the angels and saints who are always there to support us on our journey through life.
I invite the healing sounds to flow through me for your highest good, greatest ease, and deepest joy.
